Mater Mothers’
Bundle of Joy &
My Mater Midwife

OBGYN Australia is pleased to announce the Mater Mothers’ introduction of two programs offering unique benefits and value to women giving birth at the Mater Mothers’ Private Brisbane.

The Bundle of Joy card bundles together Mater services and additional costs associated with having a baby, helping to alleviate some out-of-pocket costs that are not necessarily covered by private health insurance or Medicare. The Bundle of Joy program offers significant savings compared to what families might otherwise pay when having a baby in a private hospital in Brisbane.

The purchase of the Bundle of Joy card gives women access to:

• Routine blood tests

• Two routine ultrasounds

• Hospital car parking for four consecutive days after the birth of baby

• Partner meals for up to four days after the birth of baby

• Plus, access to discounts on services such as parenting classes, breast pump hire, allied health services and special offers from Mater’s community partners.

Mater Mothers’ Bundle of Joy

My Mater Midwives program offers mums-to-be more choice when it comes to having your baby.

When you attend OBGYN Australia you have the benefit of choosing from two models of care. The standard model of care includes all routine visits and most ultrasound tests within our practice. For some women who also wish to know the midwife caring for them in labour the Mater now offers a model where in addition to your private obstetric care, an experienced mater midwife supports you throughout your journey in partnership. Your dedicated Mater midwife will be there for you during your pregnancy, your labour, the birth of your baby, and during the early weeks after your child is born.

This Mater midwife will care for you, answer your calls and questions in partnership with your obstetrician, and provide you with support every step of the way.

This model is flexible and integrates with the normal care visits. Included in the My Mater Midwife program are a booking visit, up to seven antenatal visits, attendance at birth, and up to four postnatal visits. It’s all about giving you the support you need from pregnancy through to early parenthood.

When you attend your first antenatal visit, we can discuss if the My Mater Midwife program is right for you.
